The Pet Parent Report started as a simple spreadsheet: which foods, treats, and supplies were our own dogs and cats actually still using six months after we bought them, versus what ended up untouched in a cupboard. That spreadsheet turned into this site.

We're an independent publication. We are not owned, operated, or paid a flat fee by any retailer to write positive things — our revenue comes from affiliate commissions when a reader clicks through and buys something, which is disclosed clearly on every page.

How we choose what to feature

Every product on this site is shortlisted using a few consistent filters:

• Sustained reorder and repeat-purchase activity, not one-time viral spikes
• Verified-purchase review ratings, cross-checked over time rather than a single snapshot
• Real stock availability — items that go out of stock or get discontinued are swapped out

We update the roundup weekly. We don't accept payment from brands in exchange for placement or a favorable review.
